Three kinds of proposal
Correction
Factual errors, ambiguous wording, translation mistakes. Point to the section and give a source.
Proposal
New clauses, threshold changes, different judgement rules. State the impact and the compatibility plan.
Industry adapter
Differences in capability wording and evidence for manufacturing, trade, e-commerce or software.
Governance
- Proposals are public issues with at least a 7-day discussion window; changes affecting levelling need two maintainers.
- Version freeze: at most two levelling changes per year, so employers and practitioners do not have to redo evidence repeatedly.
- Contributions are submitted under DCO (Signed-off-by) and licensed under CC BY 4.0.
- Derived versions may not use “FDE Level Standard” as their name and must state the origin.
